Born from the wonderfully simple idea of fitting Aston Martin’s 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 into its smallest, most driver-focused chassis, the V12 Vantage was already something of a hooligan in a tailored suit. Removing the roof for the Roadster only amplified the experience.

Power sits comfortably north of 500 horsepower, delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox, accompanied by a soundtrack that starts as a cultured baritone and ends somewhere near controlled explosion.

Production was limited to just 101 examples worldwide, ensuring its place not only as one of the rarest modern Aston Martins, but also one of the most memorable.

Which brings us to this example.

A 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster, Australian delivered and showing just 30,472 kilometres from new. One owner from new and supported by a full Aston Martin service history, it is exactly the sort of car you hope to find—carefully kept, properly maintained, and clearly understood.

Finished in Skyfall Silver, it presents with an understated confidence that suits the car perfectly. It doesn’t need to shout; the proportions do that for it. The optional exterior carbon fibre package adds a subtle sharpness, hinting at the intent beneath the surface without straying into excess.

Inside, the cabin is where things become more expressive. Black leather is offset by two-tone red detailing, while the carbon fibre sports bucket seats provide both visual drama, genuine purpose and comfort. The interior carbon fibre package ties it all together, giving the space a distinctly focused, almost motorsport edge, albeit one trimmed in unmistakable Aston Martin craftsmanship.

The Bang & Olufsen sound system is present, though largely ceremonial in a car like this, and it is accompanied by two glass keys, equal parts jewellery and theatre, along with the original plastic key for everyday discretion.

In summary, this is not just a rare Aston Martin, it’s a snapshot of a time when engineering decisions were driven as much by passion as by logic. A one-owner, Australian-delivered example in a highly desirable specification and one of just 101 ever built.
