Launched in 2003, the Gallardo marked a turning point for Lamborghini its first “baby Lambo,” though there is nothing remotely small about a mid-mounted 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10 producing north of 500 horsepower. Developed during the early Audi stewardship era, it combined Italian drama with a newfound level of build quality and usability, making it one of the most successful Lamborghinis ever produced. Performance was, as expected, suitably outrageous for its time: 0–100 km/h in around 4 seconds and a top speed well beyond what Australian roads are prepared to tolerate.

Early Gallardos offered a proper 6-speed gated manual transmission, a feature that has since become the stuff of collector folklore. The open metal gate, the mechanical click-clack between gears. Later cars would move to paddle-shifted systems, but purists know this is where the magic lives.

Which brings us to this particular example.

This 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe is finished in elegant Silver Metallic over a black interior. Australian delivered and backed by a full Lamborghini service history with its most recent service completed in May 2026, this car has clearly lived a life of careful enthusiasm and presents in mint condition throughout, exactly as a car of this calibre should—tight, clean, and ready to be enjoyed.

Importantly, and this is where you lean in slightly, it is a manual. A proper, gated, three-pedal Gallardo. Increasingly rare, increasingly desirable, and entirely responsible for transforming an already special car into something genuinely collectible.

It is further equipped with the factory front axle lift system, which, in practical terms, means you can approach driveways and speed bumps with confidence rather than prayer.

Complete with its original books, this Gallardo represents a sweet spot in Lamborghini’s history. Analogue enough to feel alive, modern enough to use and rare enough in this configuration to make you wonder why you’d ever consider anything else.
