We’re living in a golden era for Porsche enthusiasts where the idea of a “perfect” classic Porsche 911 is no longer hypothetical but meticulously engineered into reality. Some builds chase individuality, others chase performance this one manages both with restraint, precision, and a clear respect for Stuttgart’s DNA.

Introducing what we’ve aptly named the Porsche 911 Classic GT. And yes, there’s substance behind the title, so keep reading...

At its core lies a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 964 body and chassis, restored by marque specialists and refinished in the timeless 356-era Stone Grey, a subtle nod to heritage that sets the tone before you even reach for the door handle.

But the real story sits beneath the engine lid. In place of the original powerplant is a 3.6L Mezger flat-six, sourced from a Porsche 911 GT3, paired with its corresponding gearbox and elevated further by a CAE short shifter. This is no simple transplant; it’s a carefully considered evolution. The addition of Porsche 997 Cup Car GT3 individual throttle bodies, adapted via a bespoke manifold, and a custom-fabricated 997 GT3 exhaust system with aerospace-style heat shielding, results in a package that feels as cohesive as it is capable.

Naturally, supporting systems have been engineered to match. Up front, a tri-radiator cooling setup with high-flow racing cores ensures temperatures remain in check, while stopping power comes courtesy of 993 Turbo “Big Red” brakes, complemented by 993 4S rears. Öhlins Road & Track suspension keeps everything composed, whether on a fast road or a demanding stretch of tarmac.

Managing it all is a modern MoTeC M150 ECU, integrated into a bespoke electrical system developed by a motorsport specialist, complete with live data readouts and, in a moment of welcome modernity...... a reverse camera.

Step inside, and the attention to detail continues. Italian Alcantara, both perforated and non-perforated, wraps the cabin, paired with 930 Turbo seats trimmed in leather with a tasteful interpretation of pepita and berber. The gauges, produced in the US, retain an air-cooled aesthetic while communicating seamlessly with the liquid-cooled heart behind you. And yes, it even features properly integrated climate control, delivering something few classic 911s can: genuinely effective air conditioning.

This isn’t a restomod built to make noise (yet it certainly does), it’s one built to make sense. Every component, every decision, feels deliberate. A culmination of Porsche’s greatest hits.

You likely wouldn’t undertake a build of this scale today, but that’s precisely the point.

Fortunately, someone already has.
